- Berkeley School of Journalism does not require the GRE. Berkeley undergrad. I have been accepted to Boston University and the University of Washington to MPH programs. This was the only dual degree program to which I applied. I have not heard back yet from Berkeley's Public Health School, where I completed research as an undergrad. This required 2 separate applications. My references came from a former editor at a magazine where I was a writer and editor, a radio talk show host who has let me guest host his show several times, and a Berkeley professor.
