- I am completely blown away. I am a nontraditional, older student coming from a different field (though still related to communications) . I've spent the last three years shadowing audiologists and taking classes just to get more involved in the field. Fell in love with audiology even though everyone said Speech Path was more a "fit" given my background. I'm a strong student but applied with the thought, "Oh, I'll probably get rejected. I'll take this extra year to just plow through some more classes/shadowing". Rush was my second choice. Beyond grateful! Ran screaming through my workplace.
