- To the person who posted about applying with a 3.5 GPA: The minimum for consideration is 3.3, which you exceed, though exceeding does not guarantee admission. I believe there is significant weight attributed to an applicant's personal statement and how your experiences/interests align with the mission of SPPG, learning objectives of the MPP program, courses and (perhaps) the research interests of faculty. Conduct thorough research (takes months but well worth it) of the aforementioned things, ensure your volunteer experience reflects your interests and passion, and make sure you discuss the mandatory internship component in your SOI (for me, I mentioned how it sets SPPG apart from other programs in Ontario). Tip: Make mention of specific courses and faculty member(s) whom you hope to study under - this shows why SPPG in specific is the school that offers the most comprehensive program relative to your interests/career goals. All the best!
