- I called the main phone number on the department's website and asked about my status because I have heard nothing since I applied in December. I was told they just finalized their incoming PhD class for next year, but have not yet sent out official rejections. That is, if you haven't been accepted into Vanderbilt, then you are rejected and will hear from them soon. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news to any other Vandy applicants, but you're probably like me and prefer knowing rather than not knowing.
