- Notes
- I am writing this because I always questioned whether my background would allow me to get into grad school, and it did! This is for other people who are worried about whether they will be taken seriously among other people with their Master's degrees and who have dedicated their post-undergraduate years to research and field work. I was admitted to the program without a Master's degree, and I did not spend any time after undergrad working in the field or doing intensive research. I graduated in 2013 and have worked in several industries since, including documentary film and government. I conducted research and field work during undergrad. I currently work in an environmental government sector, and I also volunteer in a genetics lab. I think knowing what you want to do and being confident about your background will help you tell a strong, compelling story!
