- Just got email from Maryland (after getting rejected on website yesterday). "Dear Graduate Student Applicants, Thank you for your interest in the Astronomy graduate program at the University of Maryland, College Park. After review of the applications, we anticipate it is unlikely we can offer you admission into the program. The applications are very competitive: this year we had over 150 applicants, and we can only take 5-8 students"
