- Got an email: Thank you for applying to the University of Maryland Physics graduate program. We received over 750 applications this year with an impressive range of interests, talents, and experiences, and it was hard but enjoyable work for our Admissions Committee to read and evaluate them all. I regret to say that we are not able to offer you admission to our program. Please know that we appreciate your strengths, but we simply do not have space for all qualified applicants. I would, however, like to wish you the best in graduate school and wherever your career takes you, and perhaps we will cross paths in the future.
