- Was informed in person in a meeting with the DGS (I'm finishing up my M.A. at UMD). They're only able to take one medieval-renaissance person (yep -- one of either era, not one for each). No hard feelings on my part whatsoever. I'm extremely happy with my time at UMD, but I'm also ready to move elsewhere for my Ph.D.
