- I also called and spoke to Howard, but I contacted the department directly. I believe I spoke to the chair and she seemed surprised that the graduate school didn't already notify me that I wasn't accepted. This was a very annoying experience, after having hearing different information. Originally the grad school told me they were definitely sending out letters.
