- Received an email last night, notifying me to check the website. After reading all the previous posts, I knew an email from Amherst wasn't a good news. And yes. A rejection. BTW, like some people below, I do not resent Umass for rejecting me, but I do feel "cheap" because of this email. I have another rejection letter already, and the letter from another grad school is sincere and polite. Oh, and my last name begins with "Z"
