- I got a similar e-mail. After considering all the factors, I told them that I would like to withdraw my application. In my view atleast, there is no point in joining in spring as there are restrictions on the courses available for spring since most of the courses offered in spring need some pre-requisite courses which are available in fall. The funding opportunities are limited and you cannot apply for an internship in summer of 2016 since you must have completed 2 semesters at Purdue. Moreover, joining Purdue in spring will be difficult to cope with since we shift from 20deg celcius here to -20deg celcius there. Also, the intake for spring is very less and looking at the number of people posting about this mail (4 of my friends got a similar mail), looks like many have received the same generic mail, further reducing the probability of an admit along with a number of people who would be applying specially for spring semester. So, I withdrew my application. Any suggestions are welcome!
