- After sending thank you email to every person I interviewed with at the beginning of February, I only heard back from a few professors (not including the department heads and graduate student services administrator). I figured I was on the waitlist, after seeing the response from the poster below. I received a generic email to check the application website about my decision, and that is how I found out that I was rejected from the program. I am not upset about being rejected since I have already gotten into programs that fit me better, but I thought it was rude of the department not to contact me about the waitlist and/or rejection directly instead of sending the generic email. I am glad that I am not going to be in this department after how they treated me regarding the application, but good luck to those who have accepted their offers!
