- To the poster below from Pitt (and anyone else who has had several rejections), this was my third year of applying to PhD programs. This year, I have my M.A., two pubs (one as first-author), 2 APA poster presentations, great LOR and GPA, research and adjunct teaching experience, and I still applied to 15 programs and was rejected from 11 of them. Doctoral programs are just tricky to get into and fit seems to me more important than qualifications. Don't give up and best of luck next year!
