- To waitlist vs. Alternate list: in terms of Pacific, its the same as being waitlisted. My cousin in med school said that when he was applying "waitlist" means you have interviewed and they have not made a decision on your app. Whereas, "alternate" is a ranked list and based on their class count, if a spot opens up it goes go the next students on the list. In terms of AuD programs: wait list and alternate list are usually the same. By Andrea's email: it's a ranked list for a spot.
