- I am writing in response to your application to the M.S. Program in Computer Science at Dartmouth College. I regret to inform you that, after careful consideration and long discussions, the Admissions Committee has decided not to offer you admission to the program. We had a very large applicant pool, but only a small number of spaces. As a result, many highly qualified students had to be denied admission. Therefore, please do not take this rejection as an indication that you are not qualified to enter an M.S. program; the simple fact is that the admissions committee receives far too many applications each year to admit all qualified applicants.
