- I'm the poster who posted on the 12th with the news that I had been "recommended for admission." Well, sure, the medical physics admissions committee did "recommend me for admission" and I was even invited to participate in an open house of March 6-7 for admitted students (and actually encouraged to purchase non-refundable plane tickets for this open house - which, of course, I did). Unfortunately, the graduate school chose NOT to heed the recommendation of the medical physics committee and they sent me a formal rejection email 5 days after the initial congratulatory email. I'm furious.
