- I emailed the department for inquiry on the size of the waitlist and got replied: “We had 232 applications for 12-15 slots. We made 28 offers of acceptance expecting half to decline the offer.†It does not answer my confusion directly but I assume there are not a lot of guys on that waitlist considering the number of the spots. If I am wrong, pls let me know.
