- Notes
- The faculty has now reviewed your application to our graduate program in Linguistics. Each year, we seek to find the best match between applicants’ strengths and research interests and those of our faculty members. The committee’s decisions have been particularly challenging this year because of the large number of strong applicants in areas of our strengths. Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we have had to deny your application. This should not be interpreted as a negative judgment on your potential for scholarly excellence, but rather as an indication that we have no faculty members whose research interests match yours and who can take on more graduate students at this time. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
