- I just happened to check the website to find that the status was changed from "Your application is complete and under review" to " A decision is available for viewing on 3/6/2012": The American University’s School of Public Affairs has completed its review of your application for admission to the PhD Political Science program for Fall 2012. I regret to have to tell you that we are unable to offer you admission to this graduate program. Please be assured that we gave your application a very careful review before making this decision. Given the increasingly large and competitive pool of applicants, however, we have had to deny admission to many good candidates. I am sorry to have to share this disappointing news with you, but wish you the best as you pursue your academic studies.
