- I am writing to inform you that although the department is unable to offer you admission to the Ph.D. in English at this time, you are a finalist on a select wait list for admission. The Fordham PhD program is very small and select, and we offer admission only when we can also provide financial aid. Should a space open on our admissions list, you will be offered a funding package that includes both tuition and a stipend. My first choice, so please please please anybody accepted that doesn't plan on attending, let them know so that I can have a chance!!!!
