- ... directed me to website, where downloaded rejection letter. Visited earlier this academic year, I guess to no avail. Was great program in a cool Nor Cal town that's 45 min from S.F. on commuter train, and 20 min from Napa. Oh well. Johns Hopkins and Brown both admitted me for medical anthropology; would have liked to go to Davis, but will choose one of these. I should have applied to Berkeley too and taken shot at doing their med anthro. program. Not as interesting as Davis' but definitely larger and traditionally very good. Will work with Das if go to Hopkins; does Farmer actually teach at Brown or just do lectures and stuff?
