- Submitted Application on 01/21/2026. Received an invitation for a virtual interview through Kira Talent on 02/17/2026. Completed interview on 02/24/2026. Received JHU email on 03/18/2026 at 3:46 pm CST. The email had a link to view admissions status online - I received an acceptance. Metrics: No GRE taken or submitted; BS in STEM & MBA + Education Master's with a written research thesis; 3-4 years of education experience as a high school teacher. Kira Interview requires knowledge of JHU SOE mission / institutional priorities, plus a self-awareness of one's own scholarship/research habits. Kira's essay component caught me off guard - a very short amount of time to read a prompt and write a pretty lengthy response if one meets character count. Definitely recommend practicing ahead of time typing without a grammar/spelling checker.
