- Received an email stating, “ I regret to inform you that we are unable to accept your application for admission to the PhD program in English at the University of Oregon. We received a high number of outstanding applications and were unable to accept many applicants with great promise. We appreciate the time and effort you put into your application. It was a pleasure to read the writing samples and statements of purpose from so many wonderful applicants, even knowing we would only be able to send good news to so few. Thank you for your interest in the English Program at the University of Oregon. I wish you the best of luck in your future studies.” 0a/4r/2p
