- This one was interesting for me. Email directed to portal than rejection. It was interesting because I had prior conversations with a PI who it’s important in the psych department. But I had to ask for a fee waiver from them, and they said they only do fee waivers if they seriously consider the student. They asked for my SOP, and I sent it, then stated they would be giving me a fee waiver and looked forward to getting to know me. Obviously was promising but not guaranteed. I never heard from the PI again, so I assumed I was going to be rejected especially since I saw this PI has interviewed others. I was hopeful till 2/4 lol. I’m not mad and accept this and the outcome, it just is interesting for me.
