BUMathematical Finance, PhD (F15)Other via Other on 2 May 2015 O2 May 2015
  • As far as I know, BU does not have special consideration on their Master students. It's weird that BU waitlisted so many applicants. I think they were waiting for some genius like the one below to make their final decisions and repeat procedures again. To the post below, since you regard BU econ phd (top 25) as a bad 3rd tier program, I kind of understand your standard.
BUMathematical Finance, PhD (F15)Accepted via E-mail on 2 May 2015 A2 May 2015
  • >People got rejected Don't really need to be bothered by this school. I got in, but seems it's bad 3rd tier program, same as their econ phd. I rejected.
BuMathematical Finance, PhD (F15)Rejected via Website on 2 May 2015 U2 May 2015
  • Hey BU, F U. based on the way you treat applicants, your reputation and this particular program will go down the toilet very soon. even sooner i fervently hope. let's have a reality check your program is just a glorified master's program. but why did i bother to apply? it is mathematically unsophisticated and i am lazy.

  • Hey guys, I would like to say, BU is not a good place for finance researchers, not to mention the fact that they have the notorious tradition of waiting list almost all the candidates in order to tease them again and again till the last second.
Boston UniversityMathematical Fiannce, PhD (F15)Other via Other on 1 May 2015 O1 May 2015

  • The tuition is terrified.....Can't decide going or not
Boston UniversityMathematical Finance, PhD (F15)Other via Other on 29 Apr 2015 U29 Apr 2015
  • That is what I thought about. Their master students accept the offers so no one will post the offers on the website. BU waitlist a lot of people but it is actually a rej. I guess later on BU will send out the rej letters. Sad and finally move on my life.
