This rejection of mine is not surprising

please let them know if you are not attending. Thank you!

Mcnair scholar with lots of research experience. Thought I had a chance. So far rejected from Rice, WashU, Brown, Yale, Rutgers, Indiana, Duke.

The previous email communication was very pleasant, and I also participated in an informal interview. The field was a good match, but I was still rejected.

Email to check status, gpa is master, letter from the department, highly match. 2w/5r/9p, definitely will reject by all others, my bachelor is not in America, no one knows it, should have thought that before. I will forever leave this country and find a job back home. Thank you all.

Zero acceptance so far. Hang in there.

I was emailed and told to check the portal. My first rejection: also easily my worst fit (something I hadn't realized until I started to write my statements and continued anyway because sunk cost fallacy).
